Quarryplan's geotechnical services meet the evolving requirements of the Health and Safety Agencies as the implementation of the Quarries Regulations has developed across Britain and Ireland over the last decade.

It is a legal requirement that Geotechnical Assessments are completed for all operational quarries throughout Britain & Ireland, which need to be updated bi-annually.

The Regulations place responsibilities on the Operator to be able to demonstrate that appropriate factors of safety have been applied, with respect to the design and development of working faces, and as a result the physical working environment. The regulations have introduced the requirement for justified design parameters with respect to face heights and introduced additional notification and monitoring requirements referred to as "significant hazards".
