A Development Plan defines planning policy framework and land use proposals used to guide development decisions within a specified area normally over a 10-15 year period. Quarryplan can represent your mineral development interests when Development Plans are being prepared and during the regular reviews of Plans.

Development plans come in three forms - area plans, local plans, or subject plans. They apply regional policies at the appropriate local level and inform the general public, statutory authorities, developers and other stakeholders of the planning policy issues that will shape development decisions within their local area.

The preparation of a new development plan provides an opportunity to influence future mineral development/policies. It should be noted however that the Development Plan process can take several years to complete.
